10 Days Boghda Peak Trek - Xinjiang, CHINA

Bogda Peak (5445m) is the highest peak of the eastern Tianshan Ranges. It is a good choice for a short but rewarding trek with beautiful scenery of snow capped mountains and excellent routes for trekking lovers. It is only about 150 km away from Urumqi - the capital of the Xinjiang province of the western China. You will arrive at Lake of Heaven (1980 m high) first, then take boat to the south bank of the lake. From here, you will start your 6-day trekking for base camp of Bogda Peak at 3900 m high.

Day 1 SIN – Urumqi O/N Hotel
Day 2 Urumuqi – Heavenly Lake (1980m), visit the lake then take boat To Dawanzi. O/N Yurt
Day 3 TREK: Dawanzi – Mayashan. O/N Tent
Day 4 TREK: Mayashan – Ebulkasim Darasi. O/N Tent
Day 5 TREK: Ebulkasim Darasi – Malugou. O/N Tent
Day 6 TREK: Malugou – Boghda BC. O/N Tent
Day 7 TREK: Trek around base camp and glaciers. O/N Tent
Day 8 TREK: Boghda BC – Jiyanzhan – Dawanzi
Trek back to lake from a different route. On the way enjoy the scenery of valley and natural forest of Tianshan and sheep and cows. O/N Yurt
Day 9 Heavenly Lake – Urumqi. O/N Hotel
After breakfast, take boat / walk to north shore of lake
Then drive back to Urumqi. Afternoon visit Museum and Grand Bazaar.
Day 10 Urumqi – SIN
