10 Days Northern Laos Adventure

ITINERARY (SUBJECT TO CHANGES)

Day 01: Arrive Vientiane and city tour.
Upon arrival at Vientiane airport, meet Laotian tour guide and transfer to hotel in town for check in and lunch by own account at hotel. Afternoon, visit main highlights of Vientiane such as: Vat Sisaket the Buddha Museum where more than ten thousand Buddha statues in the niches can be seen, Ho Phrakeo where housing an Emerald Buddha from the early time of Lane Xang kingdom until 18th century, Patouxai the unknown soldier Monument, and That Luang stupa the most famous land of Vientiane from 16th century. Dinner by own account and overnight at hotel specified.

Day 02: Vientiane – Luang Namtha by flight QV (B)
(to be operated on Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri and Sat)
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and transfer to the airport for check in and departure to Luang Namtha. Upon arrival at Luang Namtha airport, meet staff from Luang Namtha office to transfer to Boat Landing Guesthouse for check in and lunch by own account at Guesthouse.

Afternoon, cycling to visit Luang Namtha and surrounding area return to guesthouse for dinner by own account and overnight at guesthouse specified.

Day 03: Luang Namtha transfer to staring point of forest camp trekking (BLD)
Breakfast at guesthouse, transfer to starting point of trekking and camping. Picnic lunch and dinner to be served by staff and overnight at eco-lodge.

Day 04: Continue on trekking forest camp trekking (BLD)
Breakfast at guesthouse, transfer to starting point of trekking and camping. Picnic lunch and dinner to be served by staff and overnight eco-lodge.

Day 05: Trekking back to Luang Namtha (BL)
After breakfast, the trek starts continuing to the transfer point and picnic lunch. Upon arrival at pick up point, the pick up or tuk tuk waiting for transfer back to Boat landing Guesthouse in Luang Namtha for dinner by own account and overnight.

Day 06: Excursion from Luang Namtha to Nongkhiao via Oudomxai (B)
After breakfast, excursion by car to Nongkhiao via Oudomxai. Enroute, stop visiting minority villages of hill tribes: Lantan village at Ban Houei Nam Deng Nhai, Khmu village at Ban Kiou Chaep. Lunch by own account at a local restaurant at Oudomxai. After lunch, continue on excursion to Nongkhiao, many stops to visit H’Mong village at Ban Cha Brong, Chong Cha, Lao Leu village at Ban Na Nhang Tai and arrive to Nongkhiao before sunset and transfer to best available guesthouse for check in. Dinner by own account and overnight at guesthouse specified.

Day 07 : Full day excursion by traditional boat on Nam Ou river and connecting with Mekong river to Luang Prabang (B)
After breakfast, embark traditional boat downstream on Nam Ou river to Luang Prabang via Tham Ting. On the way, enjoy seeing local people’s activities along Nam Ou river such as : panning for gold during dry season, fishing as well enjoy seeing its beautiful landscape. Lunch by own account at a local restaurant at Ban Pak Ou. After lunch, visit the most sacred Buddha caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum where housing a thousand of Buddha statues, continue on excursion to Luang Prabang and stop visiting Ban Xanhai where sticky rice wine distillation can be seen. Arrive to Luang Prabang before sunset and transfer to hotel in town for check in. Dinner by own account and overnight at hotel specified.

Day 08 : Full day tour and visit Luang Prabang. (B)
Breakfast at hotel, visit Vat Mai where was residence of Lao patriarch before 1975, National Museum the former royal king’s palace, Vat Sene where the biggest standing Buddha statue can be seen, and Vat Xieng Thong the most beautiful temple of real Lao architecture from 16th century.

Lunch by own account at a local restaurant in town. Afternoon, visit Ban Xangkhong the weaving village, Vat Visoune where only one of Loa Leu style church as well as special architecture of water melon stupa can be seen. Than climb up 328 steps to the top of Phousi hill for overlooking the views of World heritage city until sunset. Return to hotel for dinner by own account and overnight.

Day 09 : Luang Prabang excursion by car to Vang Vieng and half day Kayaking.(B)
After breakfast, excursion by car to Vang Vieng via Mouang Kasi. On the way, stop visit minority villages of H’Mong, Khmou, and Lao Loum. Lunch by own account at Mouang Kasi. After lunch, continue on excursion to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival at ban Viengsamai the Khmu village, the participants get off car and ready for kayaking on nam Song river. The introduction of paddle might be briefly advised and the paddle started on Nam Song river to Vang Vieng. The bust will be headed with luggages to check in at hotel. The kayaking trip will be in time for sunset from the terrace of hotel. Dinner by own account and overnight at hotel specified.

Day 10 : Vang Vieng – Vientiane .(B)
After breakfast, excursion by car to Vientiane and many stop for visiting the archaeological site of Vang Xang and minority villages can be done. Lunch by own account at a local restaurant in Vientiane. overnight at hotel specified.

Day 11 : Depart (B)
Transfer to the airport for check in and departure to SIN

Reservation
A deposit of $ 200 is required upon confirmation and the balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to the departure date. Non-payment by required date may result in the cancellation of your booking and subjected to cancellation charges.

Special Note (For trekkers):
It is recommended that all trekkers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any high altitude trek. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from trekking to a high altitude.

Hypertension, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight). Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease, which may hamper the trekker.
