7-Days INDONESIA Central to East Java

From the centre of Java to the east, we will travel and trek the Merapi Volcano to the mighty Mt Bromo. Mt Bromo is one of Indonesia’s most famous volcanoes. Its Sea of Sand within is coated with fine volcanic sediment. On the way we will also visit the largest Buddhist monument on earth, the Borobudur Temple, one of the country’s most remarkably built structures and a place of prayer and pilgrimage.

Day 1 SOLO/ YOGYAKARTA O/N Delta Home Stay
Arrive in Solo/ Yogyakarta and transfer to hotel in
Yohyakarta. Free program
Day 2 BOROBUDUR SUNRISE TREK O/N Delta Home
Stay (B)
4am Drive to Suroloyo Hill (900m) for sunrise. Then trek
Down (2hrs) through rice fields to Borobudur temple,
And Mendut Temple. Then visit Prambanan Temple.
Day 3 MERAPI VOLCANO TREK O/N Delta Home Stay
Half day tour: Sultan Palace, water castle, batik and
Silver home industry.
10pm Drive to Selo Village and trek to Merapi Volcano (4hrs,
2911m). Sunrise at top and descend (3.5hrs)
Day 4 SOLO – SUKUH TEMPLE TREK O/N Kamajaya- Kamaratih Hotel (B)
Descend from Merapi Volcano and breakfast at village.
Check out hotel and drive to Solo for city tour: Mangkunegaran Palace, Triwindu Antique Market.
Continue to Sukuh Temple (Erotic temple) in the slope of Mt Lawu) and trek (2hrs) to Tawangmangu waterfall.
Day 5 DRIVE to Mt BROMO O/N Lava View Lodge (B)
Arrive Hotel in afternoon
Day 6 MT BROMO TREK O/N Arabica Home Stay (B)
3am Drive by jeep to Mt Pananjakan (2700m) for sunrise.
Proceed to Mt Bromo (2392m) and walk across
Sand sea to crater. Return hotel and drive to Sempol
Village.
Day 7 IJEN CRATER TREK – BYE BYE (B)
3am Check out and drive to Paltuding Post. Trek (2hrs) to Ijen Crater (2380m), see crater and local people mine Sulphur traditionally. Drive to Surabaya Airport for Flight home

Special Note (For trekkers):
It is recommended that all trekkers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any high altitude trek. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from trekking to a high altitude.

Hypertension, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight). Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease, which may hamper the trekker.
