Mount Kinabalu, 4,095.2m is the highest mountain in Malaysia. It is also the highest mountain in the whole of Borneo, and the region between the Himalayas and the snow mountains of New Guinea. The world’s highest via ferrata, Mountain Torq - which also happens to be Asia’s first -can now be found on Mt Kinabalu.
Mountain Torq’s via ferrata routes are designed with beginner to intermediate climbers in mind. The beginner’s route will let the climber take their first experience along the granite walls of Mt Kinabalu. The intermediate routes will take the climber on 3-4 hour journeys to experience the mountain’s breathtaking heights and sights. It is recommended that all trekkers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any high altitude trek. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from trekking to a high altitude. Hypertension, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight). Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease, which may hamper the trekker.

Day 1 Kinabalu Park. O/N Kinabalu Park Grace/ Rock Hostel
Pickup at Kota Kinabalu Airport and transfer to Kinabalu Park. A scenic 3-hr ride. Check in Kinabalu Park and rest of day free & easy.
Day 2-3 Mt Kinabalu Climb + Ferrata (Add 1 Day LPCA)
Day 4 Transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport for flight home Detailed itineraries for Mt Kinabalu Via Ferrata Day 2-3 Day 2 Mt Kinabalu Ascend. O/N Laban Rata Pendant Hut @ 3200m (Breakfast, Dinner)
06.30 am After breakfast. Climbing registration and meet mt guide. You can leave your excess luggage at the Park Luggage Room/ Lodge luggage deposit. Transfer to Timpohon Gate. The climb from Timpohon will take 6-8 hours.
03.00 pm Check into Pendant hut and meet your Mt Torq trainer
03.30 pm Via Ferrata familiarization
06.00 pm Buffet Dinner @ Laban Rata restaurant @ 3200m Day 3 Summit and decend. O/N town City Park Lodge (Breakfast)
01.30 am Wake up for simple breakfast and pack up
02.00 am Meet mountain guide at Pendant Hut and start of summit climb for sunrise at Low’s Peak. Witness sunrise 05.45 am Descend Low’s Peak and proceed for your choice of World’s highest via Ferrata Walk The Torq (Code WTT)
07.00 am Meet MT Trainer at Panar Laban Slab and start of WTT Low’s Peak Circuit (Code LPQ)
06.30 am Meet MT Trainer at Sayat Sayat slab for Low’s Peak Circuit via Ferrate – World’s highest via Ferrata. The Preamble (Code TP)
03.30 am Wake up for breakfast and pack up
04.30 am Gear up and depart Pendant Hut and onto the main summit trail with Mt Torq Trainer
05.00 am THE PREAMBLE – World’s highest via ferrata (Code LPCA) – Low’s Peak Circuit + Abseilingg (PLUS 1 DAY)
