In the heart of Peninsular’s backbone, the Titiwangsa Mountainous Range, Teja River Basin’s pocket of rainforest that escaped the last Ice Age was a well-kept secret among local Semai tribe. Now, one can enjoy some pure tropical serenity - expedition style under steadfast guidance & insider account by our outfitters and watchful Semai guides. With over 30km of unmarked trail, the deep forested ground is rarely explored by outsiders. The Semai, who hunt with blowpipes, walk in and out of the jungle on daily basis are the best people to share Teja’s best hidden secrets. And if one is lucky, spot a blooming Rafflesia Cantleyii or two during its flowering season.

Itinerary
9:00 am  Meeting point in Ipoh. Trip briefings & safety procedures
10:00 am  4WD easy going drive into off-grid Bukit Ratten.
11:30 am  Start deep jungle trekking from Sungai Kundor to Bukit Pinang
1:00 pm  Reach Bukit Pinang and enjoy sightings of Rafflesia buds and blooms See other unusual flora which is only found in the deep rainforest
3:00 pm  Trek back to base for rest and enjoy a quick jungle lunch
4:00 pm  Hike a trail to reach an uncharted waterfall. Enjoy dipping in its pristine waters
6:00 pm  Drive back to Ipoh
