04 Days Paka River & Cemerong Waterfall Trek

From sea to land. An expedition in Terengganu, West Malaysia for one to remember. Our kayak launch site is 20 km from our campsite and 51km from the sea. Natural obstacles litter the length of the river thus creating exciting challenges to the kayakers. Many wildlife, species of monkeys and bird life can be seen frequently during the safari. Gunung Cemerong, at a height of 937 m, is located in Cemerong Forest Reserve 78 km from the town of Paka, Terengganu. The Cemerong waterfall stands at 305 m high and the top of the fall is at about 750m elevation. The magnificent waterfall can be seen as a white gash streaking down the face of the mountain range on the borders of Taman Negara. The trek is under canopied tropical rainforest.

Itinerary    
Day 1    SIN - PAKA
2200    Depart for Paka River Camp, Dungun, Terengganu
Day 2    PAKA (BLD)
0630    Arrive Paka. After breakfast, head for Paka River Camp.
0900    Check out Kayak Equipments & wet run
1030    Load equipments into lorry
1230    Lunch en-route at Durian Mas
1330    Launch Kayaks at CP2-TH Bakti & explore upper Paka  River to PRC
2030    R & R (Optional visit to Dungun Town)
Day 3    CEMERONG (BLD)
0900    After breakfast transfer to Cemerong Forest Reserve
1030    Trek to Plunge pool
1400    After Lunch, ascend to the top of waterfall
1600    Descend to Cemerong and depart for Forest reserve
2030    Return to Paka River Camp having dinner at Paka
2200    R & R
Day 4    PAKA – SIN (B)
0730    Enjoy your breakfast at Dungun market
0930    Drive along Dungun beach
1030    Depart for Singapore, lunch on the way at Gambang
1530    Photos at look out point
2200    Arrive Singapore
