This Overland journey allows you to experience entering Tibet from Yunnan province via the scenic DianZang route. Starting from Yunnan Shangri-la, you will travel through the mountainous region of northern Yunnan; Crossing the Yunnan-Tibetan border into the forests & lakes of NyingChi prefecture and the great canyons in southeasterm Tibet. You will continue westward to Shigatse prefecture for Mount Everest Base Camp, before ending in the capital city of Lhasa. The Overland jeep journey is tough & demanding, as you will cover a total distance of about 2000km. However, it is one of the MOST rewarding ways to see the best of Tibet!
