This trek lies in the Annapurna region and is an easy walk through terraced farm fields and rhododendron forests with some of the best Himalayan views.

Our destinations are Dhampus Camp (1650m) and Australian Camp (2165m). These scenic villages are the gateways to Ghandruk and Annapurna Base Camp. This trek is considered to be the easiest trekking in Nepal with beautiful views of the landscapes including huge Fishtail Mountain 6993m, Annapurna South 7000m and Hiunchuli  and Dhaulagiri 8167m.  The Australian Camp and Dhampus villages comprise of enormous beauty of Himalayas in Nepal, friendly Gurung community, flowers, mustard fields, birds, and many more. Another beautiful part of the trip is to see the rural life with the rich culture of the Gurung ethnic group and their tradition. Upcoming Hollywood movie ” Highway To Dhampus ” was shot in this region because of its attractive natural beauty.

Driving form Pokhara city, we can start this trip from Phendi. We will start to steep climb up with stone staircases through the Rhododendron forest until reaching lower Dhampus which takes an  hour. This trip also offers the opportunity to hike alongside the beautiful rice terraces. A very beautiful scene of Pokhara city and  Fewa lake with the reflection of fishtail can be seen while ascending. The view is even better during sun setting.
