8 Days / 7 Nights
Trekking/Hiking in Mongolia – Gorkhi-Terelj National Park Trek (8 Days with 6 Day of Trekking)
Trekking through the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park takes you through some of the finest cultural and wilderness landscapes Mongolia has to offer and through terrain that is challenging, yet moderately easy. These late summer and autumn treks will find you surrounded by the changing colors of August, September and October. Each days travel will cross rivers, over passes and through wide open mountain steppe valley’s. It’s a great way to meet local people along the way, herders or haymakers, to stop and learn from them about their culture and daily lives. Each trekker will carry a light pack with the day’s needs, while the camp, along with all extra gear is transported by yak cart, a traditional way to move camp in Mongolia and still used by many herders in the park and throughout the country.
Remarks:
This trip can be extended by one or two days to take in more of the park.
