Places Visited – Kathmandu, Pokhara
This trek in the Annapurna sanctuary in Nepal is one of the world’s finest treks, taking us through scenic villages, rich oak, bamboo and rhododendron forests and is a great introduction to the joys of high altitude trekking. We climb steadily through beautiful villages with neatly terraced rice fields enjoying several days of pleasant ridge-walking through a mix of abundant forest and scattered fields, with spectacular views of the majestic Annapurna range throughout. Our journey begins in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. We drive to the road head at Nayapul, beyond Pokhara where we start with a short trek to the village of Birethanti. We stay overnight in comfortable tea houses throughout. We spend the next six days trekking upwards through a series of forested ridges with sharp descents to the rivers between them, until we reach the Machapuchare Base Camp (3700m). From here it is only a short climb further to the Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) our ultimate destination.

If the walk and the landscapes are a double joy, the icing on top is the standard of lodges on the trail.

Reviews
Looking back, we really appreciate the help and the last minute arrangements you would willing to carry it out for us.
Both Adeline and myself would like to thank you again for everything.
Hopefully, we will be able to do another trek with the company soon! Keep in touch and let us know any interesting treks.
The trekking company in Nepal is very professional. The guides have years of experience on the trails and we very detailed in explaining the routes and wild life we saw along the way….. If training is carried out well, this should be a pretty easy trek for most people.
Best moment of the trip: Accent to catch sun rise on Poon Hill and the walk through the rain forest – Breathtaking views!
The moment you least enjoyed: Totally over dress. The weather was soooooo hot. We didn’t use the base layer at all.
…. Fly to Pokhara! The road traffic was so bad that it took 7-8hrs to travel there.
I will encourage others to participate in future for such adventure with X Trekkers. A professional company that knows their work.
I would like to thank you from my heart for your service and patience towards my traveling needs. My first time experience with Nepal was really awesome, I managed to reach ABC albeit my mountain sickness (but I quickly recovered before proceeding further). Every mountain is very beautiful to me, not just ABC. The mountain views along the planned route were fantastic and crystal clear, never get obstructed too much by the clouds. I also deeply appreciate my porter, Maila, and my guide, Yuba, for their kind consideration when planning the route for me. The original itinerary was to proceed to Ghandruk from ABC, but knowing that I would be bored backtracking towards Ghandruk, so they decided to walk me towards Landruk to reach Dhampus, which is a perfect spot for viewing the whole Annapurna range. Even a few days later after I was back in Singapore from Nepal, I still missed the good memories and different experience in Nepal. I must say it was my best trip of 2012.
