Day 4 Trek Birethanti – Banthanti (2,300m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
From Birethanti, we start walking along the Bhurungi Khola, pass through the village of Tirkedunga and after a steep climb, we reach Ulleri. We walk through the beautiful village of Magar, and make our way along a gradual uphill trail to Banthanti. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 5 Trek Banthanti – Ghorepani (2,850m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today is a relatively short day, as we continue our ascent and walk past the village of Nangeythanti to reach Ghorepani, meaning ‘horse water’. The village has two parts to it one on a large saddle, the other a little further down the hillside. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 6 Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,630m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
We rise early morning, and climb up Poon Hill before breakfast. Poon Hill is a very famous vantage point with spectacular views of Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Nilagiri and the mighty Annapurna range. We continue our trek towards Tadapani the trail winds along a ridge through pine and rhododendron forests to a crest , then drops down to Deorali. We descend steeply to reach Banthanti and then climb back up through fields of cane on an undulating path, before reaching Tadapani. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 7 Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today is a relatively easy day, as we make a long descent to Kimrung Khola, cross by the bridge and begin to climb again on the west bank of Modi Khola. Chhomrong village is located just below the ridge. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 8 Trek Chhomrong to Doban (2,600m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The day starts with a steep descent down some stone steps to the Chhomrong Khola which we cross by a suspension bridge. There follows an undulating climb through terraced fields and bamboo and rhododendron forests to Sunawa. After several ascents and descents we reach the abandoned check post at Kuldi. Another steep descent on slippery stone steps through dense bamboo forests to reach the aptly named settlement of Bamboo. After Bamboo, the trail climbs gradually to reach Doban. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 9 Trek Doban to Machapuchre Base Camp (MBC) (3,700m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
We continue the trek through lush forests, going past the Hinku Cave. Beyond Deorali, the valley narrows even further as we approach the gushing torrent of Modi Khola. After walking on a level trail for some time we make the final ascent to MBC. Here we have some opportunities to take pictures of the spectacular Annapurna I and II, Gangapurna and, of course, Machapuchare. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 10 MBC to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This is an easy day as we make a short ascent to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). It’s a pleasant walk along a stream beside the moraine. The views become more and more impressive as we approach the ABC and once there, we find ourselves in a giant natural amphitheatre, surrounded by mighty 7,000m+ mountains on all sides. Overnight at tea house.
Day 11 Trek to Bamboo (2,310m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
We now leave Annapurna Base camp and retrace our steps back to the Bamboo village. As we are going downhill most of the way the walk takes less time although it can be hard on the knees! Overnight at teahouse.
Day 12 Trek to Jhinu (1,750m) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
We continue to retrace our steps as we return to Chhomrong, from where instead of going to Tadopani we descend to Jhinu. The natural hot springs at Jhinu are a brilliant remedy for sore and aching muscles. Overnight at teahouse.

Pre Trip Preparation
Looking back, we really appreciate the help and the last minute arrangements you would willing to carry it out for us.
Both Adeline and myself would like to thank you again for everything.
Hopefully, we will be able to do another trek with the company soon! Keep in touch and let us know any interesting treks.
The trekking company in Nepal is very professional. The guides have years of experience on the trails and we very detailed in explaining the routes and wild life we saw along the way….. If training is carried out well, this should be a pretty easy trek for most people.
Best moment of the trip: Accent to catch sun rise on Poon Hill and the walk through the rain forest – Breathtaking views!
The moment you least enjoyed: Totally over dress. The weather was soooooo hot. We didn’t use the base layer at all.
…. Fly to Pokhara! The road traffic was so bad that it took 7-8hrs to travel there.
I will encourage others to participate in future for such adventure with X Trekkers. A professional company that knows their work.
I would like to thank you from my heart for your service and patience towards my traveling needs. My first time experience with Nepal was really awesome, I managed to reach ABC albeit my mountain sickness (but I quickly recovered before proceeding further). Every mountain is very beautiful to me, not just ABC. The mountain views along the planned route were fantastic and crystal clear, never get obstructed too much by the clouds. I also deeply appreciate my porter, Maila, and my guide, Yuba, for their kind consideration when planning the route for me. The original itinerary was to proceed to Ghandruk from ABC, but knowing that I would be bored backtracking towards Ghandruk, so they decided to walk me towards Landruk to reach Dhampus, which is a perfect spot for viewing the whole Annapurna range. Even a few days later after I was back in Singapore from Nepal, I still missed the good memories and different experience in Nepal. I must say it was my best trip of 2012.
