Gassan is still an unexplored area by foreign tourists. Local tradition culture is still being kept about a thousand years ago and the mountain scenery is breathtaking. Learn the REAL Japanese way of life and become one at the end of the journey!
Snowshoeing is the perfect guide for relaxing in the mountains. Mt Gassan has the heaviest snow fall in the world where over 10 meters of snow is covered in this area. Go trekking in this white and silence world, experience making snow chair table and cook Japanese hot noodle during lunch time in the trek.
Other activities include Japanese paper making, visit local house, mountain worshipping and relieve the weariness in a real local Japanese Onsen – hot spring.
