We’ll arrive mid-afternoon at a small Hmong village nestled into the side of a mountain and homestay in a very simple house with a family who has made their living there for years.  A short walk up the mountain and you can visit a village with one of the most spectacular views in the area overlooking countless mountain peaks.

Spend the night with a friendly family for an authentic, welcoming, and unforgettable homestay.

Accommodation: Homestay
Trek: 11 km of medium hiking, about 5 hours.

Day 3: Mountain Descent to Nong Khiaw – Overnight in Nong Khiaw Riverside Lodge  (B, L)

Today we’ll hike to the Nong Khiaw Valley from our mountaintop homestay.  The hike is only 2.5-3 hours and you’ll want to take it slow to take pictures and to enjoy the spectacular morning views.

Transfer to Nong Khiaw center and check into the beautiful Nong Khiaw Riverside Lodge for a night of comfort after “roughing it”.  You’ll have time to explore the small town of Nong Khiaw, visit Phatok Cave with your guide for some interesting natural and historical attractions, and relax in the comfort of a riverside lodge.  Your evening is free to yourself.
