Xueshan or Hsuehshan or Snow Mountain 雪山 a mountain in Heping District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is the second highest mountain in Taiwan and in East Asia, at 3,886 m (12,749 ft) above sea level. There is abundant of snow during winter and it is a great place to play snow and appreciate the snow scenery. Our local leaders are equipped with snow climbing training. Jade Mountain (Yushan) at 3952m is the highest mountain in Taiwan. We have carefully prepared the Yushan Mountain trek with safety as a priority consideration. Our trek comes with professional climbing equipment, so that our climbers can explore Taiwan’s first peak in a safe and fun manner!
In the winter, snow often covers the mountain, making the snow trek difficult and thus making it must for those seeking snow trekking in the mountain. The mountain ridges and valleys of the mountain make it a major regional place for trekkers.
At an elevation of 3,520m above sea level, Jiaming Lake is Taiwan¹s second-highest mountain lake, and one of its biggest. It was once thought that the lake was created by a meteor strike, but it is now believed that it was formed by glacier movement during the last ice age. While it is quite far from Taipei, it’s an excellent three-day hike destination in a more remote part of Taiwan.
