Located at 1,585 meters above sea level, Kinabalu Park showcases a complete and interesting ecological system unrivalled anywhere else in the world. Approximately 2 hours ride from Kota Kinabalu, the park covers an area of about 754 sq. km with altitudes ranging from 600 meters up to the summit of Mount Kinabalu at 4,095.2 meters. Popular for its cool climate, the park promises to enchant visitors with its rich flora and fauna. It carries lowland, mountain and alpine vegetation on a scale that is not seen elsewhere between the Himalayas and the New Guinea. Laban Rata Restaurant serves buffet breakfast & dinner, and ala-carte lunch. Opening hours: 2am to 3.30am, 7am to 7.30pm
From the hut, you will have easy access to Mountain Torq’s activities. It is also where the Mountain Torq’s sales office and pre-activity briefings are based. Beds at Pendant Hut are prioritized for via ferrata participants.
The design and set up of Pendant Hut is inspired by the Alpine huts found in and around the European Alps with warm Asian service hospitality.
