Standing majestically on its own with its perfect cone shaped in the middle of Garut, Mt. Cikuray at 2,821 m a.s.l is the highest peak in Parahyangan highland of West Java. From the summit, you will be treated to Garut city lights view, a breathtaking sunrise, and followed by the forming of the ocean of clouds. For those who seek a more challenging weekend climb with great panoramic reward in West Java, this is a perfect destination.

– Not recommended for people who has certain health issues, such as heart attack, ephilepsi, high-blood pressure, vertigo, and other complications.

Day 1 : Singapore – Bandung. Overnight Hotel (-/-/-)
Flight from Singapore to Bandung. On arrival Bandung Airport, transfer to hotel in Bandung.
Day is free at lesiure.
Day 2 : Bandung – Cikuray Base Camp – Puncak Bayangan (Post 5). Overnight tent (3-6 hrs trek; 3.5hrs drive)i (B/L/D)
Morning after breakfast, check out transfer to Dayeuh Manggung village (3.5 hours) . We will stop in Garut for lunch box, and then transfer on a 30 minutes motorcycle ride to Cikuray base camp. Start trekking a steep climb with almost no flat trek in a straight lush forest route to Post 5, usually called Puncak Bayangan or fake peak in English. Due to its difficulty, the climbing time may vary between 3-6 hours depending on your physical fitness. We will set up our camp at Post 5, have dinner, and stay overnight at the campsite
Day 3 : Post 5 – Cikuray Peak – Cikuray Base Camp – Jakarta Airport (6hrs trek; 6hrs drive) (BL)
Wake up at 3.30 a.m and we will start our summit attack at 4 a.m. The climb to the peak takes 45 minutes to 1hour. From the top, if it’s still dark we can see the sights of the city lights of Garut. Sunrise at 5.30 a.m, then we will have breakfast at the top while watching the ‘Ocean Of Clouds’ forming up below us. At around 8am, we will start descend down to the base camp. Lunch will be provided during the trek down or at Garut on the drive back to Bandung (for those extending in Bandung) or to Jakarta Airport for your flight after 9 pm due to heavy traffic on weekend.
