Hike through the tropical rainforests of Mt. Gede-Pangrango National Park adjacent to historical Cibodas Botanical Garden. Lying between Cianjur and Sukabumi regencies of West Java Province, the Park is rich with flora and fauna and is covered by sub-montane, montane and sub-alpine forest. Accessible from Jakarta via Bogor, the main gate at Cibodas is only a 2-hour drive.
The active Mt. Gede volcano (2,958 m) and triangular shaped Mt. Pangrango (3,011 m) are favored weekend trekking destinations for many Jakartans. Waterfalls, hot springs, dense jungle, fresh air, cool weather, and friendly local communities will be glad to welcome your visit.
(Note: Park will be closed for trekking on January, February, March and August)

Itinerary (Subject to changes)
Day 1
Pick up service at 6 am in your hotel in Jakarta or Bandung and transfer to Cibodas gate which takes 3 hours. Start climbing Mt. Gede via Telaga Biru lake, waterfall, hotspring. Lunch box will be provided at hot spring. Continue to Kandang Badak camp in the saddle between Mt. Gede and Mt. Pangrango. From Kandang Badak camp we continue to Mt. Pangrango summit where a small hut is the highest point of Mt. Pangrango. Return to Mandalawangi, valley of edelweiss everlasting flower where we will set up our camp site. Dinner will be served at campsite and overnight in tent. (Total 8 hours trek)
Day 2
Wake up call at 05.00 am and trekking up back to Mt. Pangrango summit for sunrise. In a clear day, Mt. Gede summit and its crater rim is seen from here. Breakfast will be served at Mt. Pangrango summit. Then, continue climbing down to Cibodas gate and lunch at local restaurant before heading back to Jakarta or Bandung. (Those who will take flight back should book flight after 9 pm due to heavy traffic on weekend)

- 1 nighs stay at campsite (1 tent for 2 persons, air-mattress, sleeping bag, chair, table and lighting)
