Mt. Papandayan is located in Garut that is well known as Parahyangan land, or land of God. Though it is not a high volcano, yet Mt. Papandayan has a scenic view of its active crater, edelweiss field and spectacular dead forest. This volcano is considered the best for beginners who want to experience trekking through the rainforest and camping among the edelweiss field.

Itinerary (Subject to changes)

Day 1: Jakarta/Bandung – Garut – Pondok Selada campsite (LD) 
Pick up service at 6 am in your hotel in Jakarta and transfer to Papandayan base camp which takes 5 to 6 hours. (Pick up service can be done from airport or hotel in Bandung at 8 am). We will stop in Garut for lunch or provided at the base camp. Start trekking to Pondok Selada, the infamous edelweiss field, for 3 hours, taking a break at the dead forest to enjoy the unique and picturesque sight of the post-eruption site. Dinner and overnight at Pondok Selada campsite.

Day 2: Pondok Selada – Tegal Alun – Papandayan Base Camp – Cipanas – Jakarta/Bandung (BL)
Wake up at 5 am and walk to the sunrise spot. After breakfast, we continue climb for 1 hour to Tegal Alun to enjoy the delight of a vast edelweiss field at the top. Afterwards we descend down for about 2 hours to the crater, sulfur field, and various colored rivers before heading back to the base camp. You will be driven back for lunch in Garut, then off to the hot spring for showers and relaxation before heading back to Jakarta/Bandung. (Those who will take flight back should book flight after 9 pm due to heavy traffic on weekend)
