Recently renovated, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is an important and poignant museum dedicated to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945. With personal details on display, this museum is a harrowing experience but also effectively strives for impressing the importance of peace onto its visitors. Surrounding the museum is the Peace Park, which displays the memorial and A-Bomb Dome, one of the only two buildings to have survived the bombing and still stands today.
